Pick 3 Terminology

Here are some basic phrases to identifying certain Pick 3 terms:

Any Order (also Boxed) - When all three-digit numbers are drawn and are in any order.
Boxed - When all three-digit numbers are drawn and are in any order.
Double - A three-digit number that contains two numbers of the same digit, i.e. 377.
Exact Order (also Straight) - When all three numbers are drawn in the exact order you picked them.
Straight - When all four numbers are drawn in the exact order you picked them.
Triple - A four-digit number consisting of the same number repeated four times, i.e. 777.

XXX=All Three Numbers
XX00=Front Pair
00XX=Back Pair

Other Lottery Terms

Here are some other common lottery terms:

Annuity - A non lump sum lottery payout that is paid to the winner in installments over many years.
Betting Slip - A betting slip is the paper form that a lottery player fills out in order to receive their printed ticket.
Cash Option - The cash option is offered in one large payment, thereby sacrificing a significant amount of the jackpot amount.
